Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection erscheint am 21. Januar 2020

[Update:] It’s been revealed that Capcom is bringing Mega Man Zero / ZX Legacy-Sammlung to Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch in January, 2020.

[Original-Artikel:] Capcom’s Mega Man Zero / ZX Legacy-Sammlung was leaked ahead of the official announcement, revealing that the upcoming side-scrolling collection series will make its way to the PlayStation 4 starting January 21st, 2020.

A two minute trailer was accidentally let loose on the Hong Kong PlayStation Store, according to Gematsu.

However, Gematsu was quick on their feet and light with their fingers, managing to re-upload the trailer to YouTube before Sony pulled the Hong Kong store page down. The trailer details all of the contents for the upcoming remastered edition of the classic side-scrolling, action-platformers, as well as some of the new features that Capcom tossed in for good measure.

The collection will include six games in total, as listed below:

  • Mega Man Zero
  • Mega Man Zero 2
  • Mega Man Zero 3
  • Mega Man Zero 4
  • Mega Man ZX
  • Mega Man ZX Advent

Gematsu speculates that the collection could be made available for PC via Steam, and on Xbox One, along with the Nintendo Switch, like the other Mega Man collection before it. However, for now we only know that the Mega Man Zero / ZX Legacy-Sammlung is most certainly heading to the PlayStation 4 in January, 2020.

The collection will feature all of the games from the Mega Man Zero line-up, as well as the Mega Man ZX series. It will feature the original sprites as well as HD filters. You can rearrange the screen layout for the button interactions for the 3DS-based games, and there are even some new modes implemented to help increase the replayability once you get done beating all the games in the collection.

If you were a fan of the PlayStation platformers, you’ll probably find yourself drooling over the opportunity to pick up the Mega Man Zero / ZX Legacy-Sammlung. I’m just hoping that Gematsu is right and that the collection is actually headed to the Nintendo Switch, because that’s a one-way ticket into my physical library if that turns out to be true.
