At this point, it should come in as no surprise if other venues, shows, movies, and games face a delay moving forward.

Seeing that events planned for July and August are no longer set to go live this year, expect more vendors to do the same since they’re trying to abide by measures to prevent further complications.

And tagging along with the above information comes a tweet from Fandom relaying that this year’s San Diego Comic-Con will not happen and is canceled:

According to a Comic-Con PR person, any individual that happened to have purchased badges for Comic-Con 2020 will have the option to request a refund or roll-over their badges to Comic-Con 2021.

This means all 2020 badge holders and exhibitors should receive an email within the next week with instructions on how to request a refund or transfer said badge for Comic-Con 2021.

I’m not sure what this year’s Comic-Con was going to reveal, but I assume whatever the team had planned couldn’t make it into a digital show, which is something Gamescom 2020 will be doing this August. Instead, the whole event for this year has been canned like E3 2020.

As for next year’s Comic-Con, it will take place on July 22nd and will end on July 25th, 2021.

In the meantime, you can learn more about this year’s canceled event and next year’s Comic-Con by hitting up comic-con.org.
